PREVIEW: jgarrons Padres have a stranglehold on this division. They have won 7 division titles and played in 1 world series. With a great core of players in place, jgarron first let Hennesey , Old Nixon and Rigby go to free agency. He then released Stu File . The Padres brought in free agents Crespo , Joyner and Estrada. Finally the team promoted a young closer in Barber. With a new #1 and #2 pitcher coupled with a 21 year old closer . This team is question mark. But with a strong core of players they should win their division...Again!!Prediction: 85-77
Jgarron's Opinion: .. Padres have made moves this winter to improve pitching, and strengthen their defense, already hallmarks of the team. We know we could win this division with our AA team, but we need more firepower for playoffs! Keep up good work.

IN: Julian Mesa , Dave Webster , Yamil Rivera , Jerome Brooks , Doug Walker , Jose Moreno , Curt Hall
PREVIEW: Toothdoc has had a pretty rough time of it in McCabe. But last year there was a ray of hope with 73 wins. With a smile and his trusty pliers ,toothdoc went about pulling the bad players and plugging in new ones. First he let Coleman , Knotts and Crespo go to free agency. With great skill and a little pain he released Espinosa and Shaw. After removing the players(See that didn't hurt a bit!!) Toothdoc went to filling in the Gaps. He signed Mesa to a 3 year 54 million dollar contract ( Ouch)!! with 3-1/2 million left of cap space toothdoc promoted Webster, Rivera , Brooks , Walker and Moreno. Finally he picked up Hall in the R-5. The Mariners spent a big chunk of cap space on Mesa then brought up a bunch of young hungry players. It looks like toothdoc is making his move and this team could be the most improved in season 10. Prediction: 84-76

IN: Rafael Jimenez , Torey Tabaka , Dann Marshall , Fred Nash, Santiago Jimenez , Bronson Mann , Dave Sheldon
PREVIEW: 2stepper took over this team a couple of years ago and is still in rebuild mode. So first the Rockies sent Geezers, DaSilva and Gates to free agency. Then they sent Pearce and his contract to Boston. Finally he waived Pujols. Now that Seattle has trimed the old and lowered their overall salary . 2 stepper Spent 71 million on free agents Jiminez Marshall and Tora "Whacky" Tabaka. He then brought up Nash from AAA. And picked up Jiminez in the R-5 draft. Finally he traded for Mann and Sheldon. This team is headed in the right direction . Shedding old tired players and contracts. Signing fresh players who fit 2steppers philosophy. I think they are still a few players away from competeing. Prediction:70-92

PREVIEW: Keeping salaries low and picking up prospects is the name of the game in Arizona. So with that in mind ,babdor sent Diaz and Valenzuela to free agency. He then released Stroud and Arias. Finally he traded away Padden , Mendoza , Borbon and Hernandez. After clearing out the clubhouse and big contracts. babdor needed to plug dem holes. He started by Claiming Pineda and Reese off the waiver wire. The promotion of Cooke was next . Finally babdor assigned Winn , Molina and Cheney after they arrived from trades. This team has no plans to win and will pick up another high draft pick. Prediction:50-112
