LAST SEASONS RECORD:97-65
LAST YEARS PREDICTION:90-72 This team will battle the Yankees for the Division and are the favorites to win Back to Back Titles. I think they will do the first but come up short on the second
OUT: Carson Barry , Al Benitez , Mac Spahn , Yogi Radmanovich , Benny Sosa
IN: Parker Roberts , John Whitman
PAT007ohmss's Preview: The Red Sox lost the ALCS last year when we thought we had a good chance at the World Series. All we felt was needed was for our 2 top SP's, Horacio Montero and Diory Baez, to get a little more experience, and for an MVP-quality right-handed bat to pound that Green Monster. So our big acquisition this offseason was C Parker Roberts to replace C Mac Spahn, who's been an integral part of 2 World Series winning teams. Roberts will be a MONSTER in Fenway, although his defense is a bit suspect. The very capable Gerald Holliday will be the #3 SP, with several possibilities for #4 and spot #5. Alton Holloway and P.J. Dingman have 171 RBI and 63 HR between them, and are both on the bench. Last years 97-65 record was the 3rd best in franchise history, and the Red Sox plan on topping 100 wins and going for it all this year.
PREVIEW: The Redsox did win the Division and they did not win back to back World Series. It still was a very good postseason for pat007ohmss. His guys lost in the ALCS to a tough Minnesota squad. In the offseason Pat first lost Barry, Benitez, Spahn, Radmonovich and Sosa to free agency. Then he signed free agent Roberts and picked up Whitman in the R-5 draft. Back for this season, it's the same team with 2 additions. And it looks like this team will win the division or grab a wild card. The playoffs???? Depends on the health and some luck. PREDICTION:100-62

LAST SEASONS RECORD:85-77
LAST YEARS PREDICTION:89-73 Now that he added more Fire Power this team could win the Division but it will be a battle.
OUT: Alex Buchanan , Greg Baez , Dave Sheldon , Bob Breen , Rafael Oliva , Neil Peterson , Jim Beckett , Onan Suh
IN: Catfish Sexson , Norberto Crespo , Brandon Padden , Albert Solano , Jody Jenkins
PREVIEW: It was a Battle for the division and ARomanos Yanks came up short. The Yanks did score their share of runs but they also gave up as many runs.Thats probably why they played 56 one run games. In the offseason Aromano lost Buchanan, Baez, Sheldon, Breen, Oliva, and Peterson to free agency. But he did resign Alberto Garza and David Stechschulte to one year contract extensions. Then he released Beckett and traded Suh to Oakland. with some gaps to fill .ARomano signed free agents Catfish "Smelly" Sexson,Crespo and Padden and promoted Solano and Jenkins. The Yanks used to own this division and it's now been 2 years since they've won it. This team will battle for the division and probably come up short again. But don't be suprised if they do alot of damage in the playoffs.PREDICTION:90-72

LAST SEASONS RECORD:71-91
LAST YEARS PREDICTION:65-97 It will be another rebuild year in D.C. but they will win more games.
OUT: Donne DeWitt , Oswaldo Benitez , Paul Shannon , Jamie Burks , J.B. Parkers , Lawrence Washington , Darren West , Dave Miller , Jason Osik , Rob Ingram
IN: Omar Paniagua , Amos Collins , Jack Baker , Juan Mendez , Yogi Radmanovich , Kyle Ramsey , Tuck Shumpert , Tony Weathers , Armando Cruz , Paul Pride
ARDTHOMP'S Preview: The Nationals are riding high after finishing last season with the most wins in franchise history. Still what will 71 wins get you? The 8th draft pick in this year's draft! The minors are starting to look pretty stocked after last season, so there is some nice help on the way. With Breen and Tejada leading the team on the mound, the Nationals will be looking for a couple of guys to step up at the plate. Buckley had the 2nd best season of his career last season, so if he can get some help, this team might climb up to 2nd in the division. Still not enough to make the playoffs yet though.
PREVIEW: Ardthomp did indeed add several prospects in a rebuild year.Including #1 overall Pedro Rodrigo and Rookie MVP Harry Azocar .With those great additions to the farm. Ardthomp went into the offseason feeling better about his team. First he let DeWitt , Benitez, Shannon and Burks go to free agency and released Parkers and Washington. Then ARD traded away West, Miller, Osik and Ingram.now Ard has to field a team, so he first claimed Paniagua off the Wire. Then he signed free agents Collins,Baker,Mendez and Radmanovich. Finally he traded for Ramsey, Weathers,Cruz and Pride. Looks like Ard is making a move to be competative. With his Catching corps solidified, his teams pitching and defense will improve.(NAH-PO-LI) And with several prospects in the pipeline. Things are looking up in D C. PREDICTION:81-81

LAST SEASONS RECORD:61-101
LAST YEARS PREDICTION:70-92 This team is a collection of solid AAA players with a star here and there. This is by design. By keeping his payroll at 37 million he has plenty of money to pick up tasty IFA's or trade for prospects. This team may emerge soon!!
OUT: Octavio Lopez , Jack Bonds , Sonny Williams , Tom Ellenwood , Johnnie Charleston , Eugene Simpson
IN: Alan Phillips , Jeremy Cox , Raul Rodriguez , Alex Santos , Clark Dillon , Olmedo Ugueto
PREVIEW: When I predicted a 70 win season.I really didn't believe the Orioles would win that many. And as it turned out , thats what happened. Not a big deal though . This team is in the 3rd year of a rebuild and they are looking to future years ahead. Now in the 4th offseason of the rebuild Bourbon first let Lopez and Bonds head to free agency. Then he released Williams,Ellenwood and Charleston outright and traded away Simpson. In order to fill out his M L roster Bourbon Picked up Phillips,Cox and Rodriguez in the R-5 draft. Finally he traded for Santos,Dillon and Ugueto. This team won't knock your socks off. But they are improving with some nice trades. This will be the 4th year of the rebuild and they may make the 500 mark.Unlike last year I'm starting to Believe!!PREDICTION:78-84
