The SAN DIEGO PADRES traded Art Clark , Miguel Furcal and J.T. Post to the ROCHESTER BRONCOS for Julian Alvarez
The Padres are renting a Big Bad Bat this season. Julian will be challenged in that Chasm called Petco Park. The Broncos get 3 very nice tasty prospects including former number 14 overall pick(Post).
The SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS traded Peter Pastornicky and 2,000,000 to the WASHINGTON D C NATIONALS for Raul Martin
The Giants were Fed up with Peter "Pumpkin Eater" Pastornicky and his slump. So they traded the Slugger and 2 million to the Nationals for a young all around player. Hopfully Pumpkin can smash some balls in DC.
THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS traded Craig Ingram 3,407,407 to the WASHINGTON D C NATIONALS for Dick Cook and Bert Gibson
Wylie now traded away a his Closer and 3.4 million to the Nats. He got a AA catcher and a AAA RF'er. Ingram was going to file for free agency anyways. At least wylie got something in return.
The PITTSBURGH PIRATES traded Tony Zhang to the OAKLAND ATHLETICS for Philip Chapman and Vic Gardel
Oakland picks up a Catcher that has little pitch calling abilities. But he does make a great DH. Pittsburgh gets younger, with 2 nice prospects that should make the Bigs.
The ATLANTA BRAVES traded Dean Ruffin to the KANSAS CITY ROYALS for J.P. Park , Rob Ingram and Juan Herrera and 2,880,000
Kansas City aquired a former #5 overall pick in Ruffin. Dean "Tough'n" Ruffin was not having a good year in Atlanta. The Braves get 2 nice prospects and some M L pitching depth.

Just back spasms for the Broncos rookie catcher. He's already back calling signs!
Steven Johnstone
Son of a Bitch!! Thats what you heard when Steven "Hard as a Rock" Johnstone was lost for the season. It will be hard for the Virgians to repeat without him.
Jumbo Mullin
Another Screamer. This time it was the Mets howling. This guy will miss the rest of the season but he really didn't take a bad hit on his numbers. Really!!
Torey Boone
Torey "ka" Boone will miss a couple of weeks. He's been getting blown up on the mound since his call up. The Rays may leave him on the DL.
Diego Hernandez
Oakland will miss their All-Star CF'er for 2 weeks. He has a bulging disk in his neck.
Rickey Kline
A few more days and Rickey "Nine" Kline will be back on the field for the Cards.The old stiff groin syndrome.
Paul Zinter
The Mariners lost their CF'er also. A strained rib cage will sideline him for 2 weeks.
George Brantley
They're dropping like flies in Oakland. This stud will be out 3 weeks with a pulled Hammy.
