Louie Cahill the AA 2B has 12 HR, 42 RBI, 311 BA, and scored 25 Runs in 31 games this season for the Anaheim Angels. Cahill also had a 11 game hit streak snapped on 2/14 against the AA Giants.
Player notes: Cahill, born in Randolph, Wisconsin was a 1st round draft (26) pick of the Angels in season 11 from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. He left following his Junior year signing a minor league contract which included a $1,660,000 bonus.
Career Minor League Stats: 395 Games, 341 Runs, 490 Hits, 144 Doubles, 105 Homers, 420 RBI, 324 Batting Average.
Awards: MVP and Silver Slugger (2B) for Low A Angels in season 12. Rookie of the Year, All-Star, and Silver Slugger (2B) for High A Angels in season 13.

Player notes: This second year pro was a 1st round draft pick (13) in season 13 from Genoa, Illinois, and is a season 13 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado. DeJean is a ground ball pitcher with a very good sinker and slider.

Minor League Coach Spotlight:
Hitting Coach John Sugawara of the AAA New York Yankees has this team leading the entire AAA (AL and NL) with 377 hits, 74 home runs, 325 batting Average, and a 999 OPS. This is his 11 season as a hitting coach. He has spent his entire coaching career in the Yankees farm system. Sugawara had a 13 year pro career and 9 years on a major league roster as a backup with San Diego and Cincinnati. He has a career batting average of 270.
