McCABE MAGAZINE SPECIAL REPORT

Oakland's Diego Hernandez Shutdown

McCabe sports.com – With a 15 game lead in the AL West the Oakland Athletics have shutdown All-Star Centerfielder Diego Hernandez due to fatigue. The three (3) time Silver Slugger award winner has not played in the teams last 18 games. He last appeared in a game on 3/17 PM2 against the San Francisco Giants. During that game he suffered a quad injury in the 1st inning which did not require a trip to the DL. Calls to the Athletics have not been returned and requests to interview have been denied. However, on 3/24/12 McCabe magazine received the following press release regarding our request.

jefepwnzer CEO/President Oakland written statement:

Diego suffered a pulled quad as a result of a cameo in LMFAO's latest video, Champagne Showers. Normally we as an organization refrain from allowing our players to participate in any kind of” out of baseball" activity requiring a high level of exertion. We felt a music video was the exception; however, it came to light that he was the person in charge of teaching the Shuffling steps, and pulled his quad as a result. We have since asked Diego to resign his position as Shuffling instructor and focus on baseball. He returns to the lineup for the 3/24 AM game against the White Sox.
