The BOSTON RED SOX traded Seth Lankford , Russell Snyder and Richard Wood and 150,000 to the COLORADO ROCKIES for Rodrigo Ontiveros
Ontiveros has been claimed off the wire then traded to Rockies then traded to the Red Sox . This will help the Boston eat some innings while getting a chance to win a few. Rodrigo is asking "Why They Hate Me?". The Rockies get a couple bullpen prospects and a catching prospect.

The SAN FRANSISCO GIANTS traded Yeico Astacio to the BOSTON RED SOX for Marty Prior
When Wylie posted this add on the Chat "no interest in Yeico Astacio ? The dude can hit. Not looking for much in return." He failed to include the fact that Yeico "Yikes" Astacio is not much behind the plate. Boston indeed offered not much,  AAA pitching prospect.

The COLORADO ROCKIES traded Harry Arias to the DETROIT TIGERS for Davey Martinez and Phillip Ramsey
Then Axtell released this statement on the Chat. "Harry Arias - I will take a terrible player in return if you pay his salary for this year. Quality player - I need cash." While Harry looks like a Quality player he should have hit more homers in Colorado and is in his declining years. The Tigers were willing to take a shot. And at worse they may get a comp-B pick next year. Boston got some much needed salary cap room and a minor league player that may get a few taters in the Bigs.

Bobby "and Weave" Dirks is a bit of a hypochondriac. But Griff likes a challenge. He is on the 15-DL for the second time this year and will return in 2 weeks. Bob and Weave, Dirks!!...Bob and Weave!!

Olmedo Serra
Olmedo Serra "Lee" has been very durable in his M L career. Perhaps the rigors of playing 2nd base hurt his back.Or maybe its too much Cake?? Serra Lee is ready to come off the DL and may be moved back to RF where was a Gold Glover.Let him eat cake!

Derrick Havens
Derrick "No Safe" Havens is Dead!!! yep he passed away during elbow surgery. He has gone to the Gray Havens and will never return!

Damaso Ortiz
"Padre" Damaso Ortiz is also dead......Like in the Novel "Noli Me Tangere". At the end of the novel, he is again re-assigned to a distant town and is found dead one day. The Mets mourn the death of the evil priest . 

Ugueth Nunez
 My great grandparents settled in Rathdrum Idaho in 1894. And I dont recall the Nunez family while growing up there. Ugueth " Where I'm From" Nunez will miss 2 weeks with a back strain. The Virginians may put him back into the rotation when healed.
