PREVIEW: This team showed me!! They not only woke up . The Phillies won the division and beat my prediction by 19 games. They lost in the first round to the eventual World Champs. With a renewed attitude Dennis went into the offseason and let Santos, Francis, Hallman , Park and Riley go to free agency. Then he released Penny and Nieto outright. With quite a few holes to fill he first claimed My player, Armas off the wire. THIEF!!LOL Then he signed a half dozen free agents spending 26.6 million. Dennis is never shy about spending cash on players he likes. And now that he is back on the top of the division. He spent a small fortune on free agents to keep the phillies there. Time will tell if the money was spent Right. PREDICTION:81-81

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:87-75 This team has talent and Walsh brought in some more . If they ever Figure it out , they could be dangerous.

PREVIEW: Poor Walsh. he just can't seem to catch a break. He missed winning the division by a game.This was the 5th year the Broncos had a 80+ win season and missed the playoffs . So walsh entered his 3rd offseason looking to make some moves. First he let Howard , Wickman, Olshan ,Stevenson and Nelson head to free agency. He did resign Pepper Fox to a 2 year contract extension. Then he released Roberts outright. Walsh traded away Purcell , Santos , Dillon and Ugueto. With a few holes to fill Walsh signed free agent Melendez and promoted Harris. Then he traded for Rodney and Simpson. The Rochester Broncos got taken to the cleaners in the trades with Baltimore. Too bad ...the young studs they gave up would have improved this squad.PREDICTION 62-100

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:97-65 This is pretty much the same Pirates that have harassed the rest of the league. Hide the Women and Children when they come to town for Leftys Pirates are a tough bunch.

IN: Yusmeiro Santana , Jarrod Floyd , Justin Hunt
PREVIEW: Lefty and his Pirates had a down year. They finished 16 games below my prediction. I guess the Pillagers get Pillaged every now and then. In between seasons Lefty let Melendez and Etherton go to free agency. Then he promoted Santana and Floyd and picked up Hunt in the R-5. Last season Lefty promoted Jamie Kensing before the all-star break. So now the Pirates have a talented group of youngsters . Will they play like seasoned veterans. Who Knows?? It may take some great coaching. But they are a dangerous bunch. I think this team wins the Division. PREDICTION:90-72

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:81-81 It looks like Russilini is changing philosophies . Lowering his cap and shedding salaries. He will be near .500 and pick up a IFA here or there.

PREVIEW: Out with Russillini and in with pete775. Pete comes to McCabe after a brief stint as Dance coordinator for Chaz Bono. Pete said he left because Bono is a Dick...... Uhh .....Yeah! Pete takes over a team with a troubled past. The Mets have only sniffed the postseason once as a wild card. So he goes in the off season with plenty of cap space and a few nice prospects in AAA. First he let Griffin ,Rivers, Collins, Lopez go to free agency then released Sanchez and Parris. To fill dem holes he signed free agents Nelson, Speier, Pinzon, Suarez and promoted Glynn. With 2 picks in the top 20 and several comp picks. the Mets will be looking to add some talent in the minors. Pete also has 20 million in cap space so he has flexability. This team is in a rebuild mode and may look for the #1 pick next year. PREDICTION:62-100
