LAST YEARS RECORD:87-75

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:95-67  A couple of years!!! Hell they are contenders now. This team gave the A L Champs a run for there money ,and then some. This young team will only get better. And that spells trouble for the rest of us.The Brewers will be in the playoffs and if the Twins falter. This team will win the division.

OUT: Stephen Ford , Dustin Kiner

IN: Alfredo Velazquez , Juan Gonzalez

BRENTCNB's PREVIEW: As the Brewers begin Season 14 management is more aprehensive than confident.A combination of an attempt to integrate some FAs into the ML lineup and the departure of P Ford leave the Brewers with a slightly weaker team than last season. Minnesota looks revived and is probably the favorite.Toronto always fields a competitive team. I think the Brewers will continue to develop prospects worth watching. Arthur Roa is a fringe ML prospect but will be fun to keep an eye on as he may very well be a "sleeper"

PREVIEW: I got this one right (Blind Squirrel thing) .The Brewers won the division when Minnesota faltered. Milwaukee met a tough bunch from Anaheim and were beaten in the first round(3-1).Brent has done a great job building this club. They just need some help in the postseason. So in the offseason Pitchers Ford and Kiner left the team and Brent decided to bring up a DH (Alfredo Vasquez) .Finally he picked up a R-5 pitcher Gonzalez to round out the roster. The Brewers have more power in the lineup this year but it's pretty much the same bunch. Look for them to battle for the division crown again and perhaps make some noise in the post season.PREDICTION:92-70

LAST YEARS RECORD:80-82

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:98-74  The Errors were many(120) but Minnesota overcame them with a stout offense. This is a classic..If It ain't broke don't fix it!! And Rcabers guys should make it far in the playoffs again.

OUT: Rafael Arias , Tim Patterson , Bruce Dorsey , Ernest Puckett , Ken Powell , Joe Lackey , Louie Mercedes , Al Segui

IN: Dick Jarvis , Ken Curtis , Yank Barnes , Larry Painter , Pedro Leon , Brett Rivers, Luis Lopez , Ed Castellanos , Shawn Maddox , Willie Lugo

WINMYRON'S PREVIEW:  After representing the AL in the World Series the previous season, the Minnesota Twins hope to bounce back from a dissappointing 80 - 82 campain in Season 13. The new Twins front office had limited finances to work with in the offseason but were able to land two solid bats to lengthen their lineup.Willie Lugo(1.059 career OPS) and Luis Lopez(avg. 35+ HR per season) join former MVP's Alejandro Segui and Einar Beltran in a very powerful lineup.Competing scouts rave that "7 of their 9 could hit 30 bombs this year." Twins also boast a very solid rotation led by Felipe Lopez and Bobby Stone. They don't have a Cy Young contender, but are solid form top to bottom. If this team fails to reach its goal of capturing a division title and advancing deep into playoffs, it will have the bullpen to blame. Wally Driskill returns as the closer but the manager lacks confidence in him and the entire late inning squad. The Twin's window seems to be closing since several of their top players are on the wrong side of 30. They appear to be making a push this season to capture that elusive ring.

PREVIEW:
I really thought theTwins would do better, both in the Regular Season and make the playoffs.Well the Twins broke down and rcabers threw in the towel. So now we welcome winmyron ,the new skipper of the  Twins. Perhaps he will improve the porous defense (.981 FPct,114 errors). On the good side the Twins did hit .275 as a team, so all is not lost. In the offseason Winmyron first let 3 pitchers go to free agency (Arias,Patterson,Dorsey) and released 1 more (Powell). He also released a catcher (Lackey) and a 3rd baseman (Puckett). He completed the purge by trading away 2 starting pitchers (Mercedes and Segui). With some holes to fill he signed 2 free agent pitchers (Jarvis and Curtis) and promoted 3 (Barnes,Painter and Leon). Finally he brought in several players thru the trade pipeline (Rivers, Lopez, Castellanos, Maddox, Lugo). The Twins will be stronger up the middle with 2 new 2nd Basemen. And they definatley brought in some Great hitters. But will the loss of some very good pitchers hurt them? That will be asnswered by the All-Star break. PREDICTION:85-77

LAST YEARS RECORD:75-87

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:82-81  Dimes Bluejays finished a little short of my prediction. And it was a step back from last year when they lost in the ALCS.This team has a porous defense but their pitching and offense is adaquate. They don't have much of a chance winning this tough division. But could squeek out a wild card. Depends on the error total.

OUT: Willie Guerrero , Barney Wiltse

IN: Tim Patterson , Shayne Dunston

PREVIEW: Toronto had one of the best hitting teams last year (.283 BA,1634 hits). But they also had one of the worst pitching teams (5.45ERA,1.52WHIP).There musta been some exciting high scoring games last year. Meanwhile Dimestore was Wheeling and Dealing early last year. Picking up several prospects with trades (Daniel Creek , Brad Price and Dioner Cortez). So now In the offseason Dimestore let 2 players test the free agent market(Guerrero and Wiltse). He then signed a free agent (Patterson) and picked up a R-5 player (Dunston). Dimestore stocked his AAA last year with very good players and some may be brought up after 20 games to prolong their non arb status. The Bluejays may be ready for a break out season. PREDICTION:81-81

Chicago
Chicago White Sox (AL)

LAST YEARS RECORD:67-95

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:81-81  Ace filled in for a season when he was dealt a bad hand. But he did add juicy prospects Derrek Duncan and Javy Concepcion before he bolted. The new owner of the White Sox is kgrffth. With 1 season under his belt the learning curve will be steep. But this team has some talent in the farm system and has alot of cap flexability. So it's not a bad situation for a rookie owner. It's nice having 26 million in cap space!!

OUT: Bryan Brow

IN: Geoff Coombs , Doug Standridge

KGRFFTH'S PREVIEW: By R.E.McCabe insider and Yahoo Sports correspondent Sam “no spell checker” Willie
The Chicago White Sox are in the 2nd year of a five year plan to become a contender in the American League North Division. With several young players at least 3 years away from the Big Show and with ace pitcher Bryan Brow dealt in the offseason to the San Francisco Giants, the season 14 White Sox are just hoping to improve on the 67 wins of last year. Second year President/General Manager kgrffth has been stock piling the farm system and cutting dead weight since becoming the man responsible for the turnaround. Quite a few veterans remain on the club from season 13. However, if the White Sox are going to see any improvement it will have to come from the young talent on the major league roster. The four young players kgrffth is most excited about is rookie pitcher Andy Kennedy (R), 6’1 223, very good control with two very good pitches, a 4-seam fastball projected to develop into an excellent pitch and a solid slider. Second year players Alex Cortez (R) 6’ 197 (pitcher), DH Mariano Cabrera, 16 HR, 60 RBI 271 BA (rookie stats) and switch hitting 3rd Basemen Bill Yearwood 19 HR 72 RBI 280 BA (rookie stats). Alex Cortez is a projected starter with very good control and excellent velocity. He has 4 pitches with his best being the change-up. Other players to watch include veterans Alex Martin (C), who led team in homers with 34 and ironman First Basemen Storm Glanville (117 RBI led team). Glanville has played in 162 games per year the last 5 years, and 8 of the last 10 years. The club record for wins in a season is 84 which happen twice, seasons 10 and 6; in addition, they have never made a postseason appearance. The goal for kgrffth and this organization is to break that record and to lead this team into the postseason by season seventeen. In a rare interview with MLB.com kgrffth was quoted “The success and future of this organization will depend heavily on the scouting department and the development of our young players in the farm system.” It sounds like from this reporter’s point of view, Mr. Kgrffth is lining up a few Fall Guys.

Correspondent Mr. Sam Willie can also be read in Playboy and Hustler magazines of which he is a long time subscriber.

PREVIEW: The White Sox were in a rebuild last year so its not suprising where they finished. They did pick up several tasty prospects along the way.(Tony Lowry, Steve Sterns, Alex Gutierrez , Gus Sakamoto ) So the future looks bright for kgrffth and Chicago. So in the offseason he let Brow test the free agent market. Re-signed him, then traded him to San Francisco. Kgrffth also re-signed Placido Espinoza , keeping the innings eater in the bullpen. He promoted Coombs and picked up R-5 Standridge to finish out the roster. This team is still rebuilding and should add some more pieces to the puzzle. PREDICTION:70-92
