LAST YEARS PREDICTION:100-62 The Athletics did win the Division but no ROY.But they did capture a co-MVP award in Homer Henry. In the post season, Jefepwnzer's boys lost in the first round .The Athletics now sport a great 4 man rotation to go with a stout offense. I commend Jefepwnzer for putting together a very good team. Oakland will be a force for awhile and may represent the AL in the Series.

PREVIEW: The Oakland Athletics have blossomed under the tutelidge of Jefepwnzer. Jefe won the division and was selected by his fellow owners as the Owner of the year. With his R. E. McCabe Award safely in his trophy case.Jefe and the Athletics went into the post season with high hopes.They added a American League Trophy but lost in the Series to the Padres. In the offseason Jefepwnzer let Etherton go to free agency but re-signed Brandon Stark. Then he released Waters, Benson outright and traded away Tanaka, Lopez,Johnson and Cobb. With several holes to plug Jefepwnzer signed free agents Wade and Harmon. He finished out the roster with Stohr,Mercedes and Veras which were acquired in earlier trades. The new Athletics are the same team only older with a few upgrades. They will win the Division and watch out in the post-season. This may be the year to win the Series.PREDICTION:99-73

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:???? Captains Angels came close to my prediction and finished 4 games above .500. This team missed the playoffs for the second year in a row. They used to own this division and its clear they are in a reload mode.With 28 million in cap space he could land some big ones?? With a incomplete team its impossible to predict.

PREVIEW: Looks like the Angels are back to their winning ways. Although they didn't capture the division crown . They did get into the postseason as a #5 seed. Captains Angels made quick work of the Brewers in the first round but couldn't defeat Division nemisis Oakland in the second round. In the offseason Captain let 7 players leave for free agency (Jeffcoat,Park,Peters,Breen,Martin,Takahashi,Wade) Picking up several 1st round draft picks.He did re-sign 1 player (Yuniesky Benitez) and released Stanley to finish the exodus. Captain now had the task of mending his leaky tub. He Claimed Duffy and Lopez off the wire and signed free agents Wilkins,Stoops and Crespo. He then promoted Gray to the bigs. Right now the Angels have 4 roster spots open. They could promote some players like Alving Escobar or sign some free agents with 8 million in cap space. Right now this team has a revamped pitching staff. But right now they will finish at or above .500.I think it will be above with some additions. PREDICTION:88-74

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:81-81 Well we knew the Giants were not going anywhere by the Draft. Wylie was unloading players early and picked up some nice prospects.Mack Crosby was added last year and should help this team win a few games. Wylie still has a few good prospects in AAA ready for the Bigs. If they get promoted this team could be trouble for the rest of us.

WYLIES PREVIEW: The bullpen is solid, but not spectacular with Downs, Mujica, Castillo and Duran setting things up for new closer Bryan Brow. If everything breaks right for the Giants we could content but more likely we'll finish close to .500 again
PREVIEW: Like in the Roadrunner Cartoons. Poor Wylie is getting pummeled by flying anvils and falling boulders.His Giants finished close to where I predicted even after Benny Cruz returned to the team. Wylie pulled the plug early trading away Peter Pastornicky , Craig Ingram and 5,400,000 dollars in cap space. He did pick up Raul Martin and Bert Gibson in the trades. In the offseason a bruised and battered Wylie let Nixon go to free agency and traded away S.Maddox and Lugo. Then he waived Duffy and he was picked up by Anehiem. Wylie picked up N.Maddox, Beltre in the R-5 and traded for Mujica,Johnson and Brow. The Giants have some talent they just have to start playing up to it.Looks like another average year for Wylie with a injury here or there.He sure likes players named Maddox. PREDICTION.81-81

LAST YEARS PREDICTION:70-92 The TAINT came in and ran this franchise for a season. it was clear that they were in a major rebuild. So i'm not suprised that they lost 110 games. Arte comes in with a difficult task at hand . My hope is that he guts it out and rebuilds the Dodgers and creates a Winner!!losing Ontiveras was a big blow to the Dodgers But they did pick up the 33 and 53 pick in the draft to go with their #1 overall pick. So it's obvious this team will have some juicy prospects to add to the ones still on the rookie roster(Curious). I'm sure Arte will promote them before the season starts.This team is in a long rebuild so they will get another good draft pick next year.

PREVIEW: As expected this team finished below .500. But Arte did pick up many tasty Prospects. In the draft he grabbed #1 overall Nigel Kirk then he had 2 more first rounders in #33 Paul Stanley and #34 Douglas Hollins. In the offseason Arte let Maroth,Sanchez,Galarraga and Coles head to free agency but he did re-sign Vinny Barnes. Then he released Schneider and Palmerio. To plug the holes in the lineup. Arte signed free agent Estrada then promoted Leon,Diaz,Hernandez,Sauveur and Brantley. No secret here. The Dodgers are just going to ride along this season . They should finish just above the league min.PREDICTION:62-100
