LAST YEARS PREVIEW: Toronto had one of the best hitting teams last year (.283 BA,1634 hits). But they also had one of the worst pitching teams (5.45ERA,1.52WHIP).There musta been some exciting high scoring games last year. Meanwhile Dimestore was Wheeling and Dealing early last year. Picking up several prospects with trades (Daniel Creek , Brad Price and Dioner Cortez).Dimestore stocked his AAA last year with very good players and some may be brought up after 20 games to prolong their non arb status.The Bluejays may be ready for a break out season. PREVIEW: Breakout the Band!! It was a breakout year for Dimestore and his Bluejays. They won the division with 89 wins then shocked McCabe with a impressive run in the playoffs.The Bluejays swept the first round then upset the #1 seeded Athletics in the DCS.In the American League Championship the Cinderella Bluejays lost to the eventual champs in 6.Nice playoff run Dime!! Last season the Bluejays were 5th in hitting(.278 Team BA), below average in pitching(4.79 Team ERA), above average in fielding(89 Team Errors). In the offseason Dime let Matsuzaka, Rowand,Bradshaw and Wiltse go to free agency and released Wickman and Rogers outright.Last season Dime promoted 3 young studs Cortez,Ontiveros and Mauer which helped fuel his great run in the post season. So the Bluejays are young and very talented and they should repeat as division champs. Perhaps they may make it to the Series this year.PREDICTION:94-58

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: I really thought theTwins would do better, both in the Regular Season and make the playoffs.Well the Twins broke down and rcabers threw in the towel.So now we welcome winmyron ,the new skipper of the Twins. Perhaps he will improve the porous defense (.981 FPct,114 errors). On the good side the Twins did hit .275 as a team, so all is not lost.The Twins will be stronger up the middle with 2 new 2nd Basemen. And they definatley brought in some Great hitters. But will the loss of some very good pitchers hurt them? That will be asnswered by the All-Star break. PREDICTION:85-77

IN: Kenneth Sheldon , Dave Webster , Willie Tomlinson , Arthur Roth
PREVIEW: The Twins finished about where I predicted. So it looks like the pitching staff held up afterall. Winmyron got his Twins back in the playoffs as a #5 seed but they were swept by their division foe, the Bluejays. Last season the Twins were a good hitting team(..276 Team BA), Average in pitching(4.55 Team ERA), Average in fielding( 96 Team Errors). Winmyron re-signed Ken Curtis , Einar Beltran and let Jarvis , Lugo go to free agency. Then he released Colbert and waived Fox.With a couple slots open, Winmyron signed free agents Sheldon , Webster and traded for Tomlinson , Roth. The loss of some good players won't hurt the Twins. They replaced them with nice players and they should be just fine. This team will rely on the bats and should vie for a division crown or Wild card. PREDICTION:85-77

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: The White Sox were in a rebuild last year so its not suprising where they finished. They did pick up several tasty prospects along the way.(Tony Lowry, Steve Sterns, Alex Gutierrez , Gus Sakamoto ) So the future looks bright for kgrffth and Chicago.This team is still rebuilding and should add some more pieces to the puzzle. PREDICTION:70-92

PREVIEW: Griffs Guys finished close to my prediction. And since they are re-tooling ,73 wins was respectable. He did pick up some very nice prospects along the way (Sidney Flaherty , Jumbo Camacho , Fautino Silva) so it's getting brighter in Chicago. Last season the White Sox were a good hitting team(.273 Team BA), poor pitching squad(4.83 Team ERA), good in fielding(84 Team Errors). In the offseason Griff let Alomar and Tavarez go to free agency and released Tabaka. With only one spot open ,Griff picked up a waiver player in Fox.Griff has a ton of money to transfer to his prospect budget and a high draft pick. Look for the White Sox to ride out this season and grab some more tasty Prospects. PREDICTION:71-91

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: I got this one right (Blind Squirrel thing) .The Brewers won the division when Minnesota faltered. Milwaukee met a tough bunch from Anaheim and were beaten in the first round(3-1).Brent has done a great job building this club. They just need some help in the postseason.The Brewers have more power in the lineup this year but it's pretty much the same bunch. Look for them to battle for the division crown again and perhaps make some noise in the post season.PREDICTION:92-70
OUT: Enrique Beltre , Al Henry , Rob Dougherty , Placido Cruz , Emmanuel Gonzalez , Mark Ransom
IN: Albert Sanchez , Larry Vaughn , Raul Rodriguez , Alex Trajano
PREVIEW: The Blind Squirrel couldn't find the acorn this time. They finished last in the division with only 73 wins.Not sure if it was injuries or just a down season for Brent and his Brew Crew. But for whatever the reason this team was a disapointment. Last season they were a good hitting club(.272 Team BA), 7th worst in pitching(5.04 Team ERA), 5th worst in fielding(129 Team Errors). In the offseason Brent let Beltre,Henry,Dougherty,Cruz and Gonzalez go to free agency, choosing only to resign Henry Benard. Then he released Ransom outright.With just a couple of holes to fill, Brent promoted Sanchez and grabbed Vaughn , Rodriguez in the R-5. Finally he traded for Trajano to finish his roster.I dont think the Brewers addressed the pitching problem, allthough Rodriguez will help with the defensive problem.This team looks like a .500 club to me. PREDICTION:81-81
