View Hardball Dynasty Profile

LAST YEARS RECORD:73-89

LAST YEARS PREVIEW:  Poor Rooskie, he plays in the toughest division in McCabe . The Injuns win 85 games and finished 4th in the division. But the Cleveland fans are excited on the direction of their beloved Injuns.Rooskies pitching (4.24 ERA) and fielding (.985 FPct)were just fine. The hitting could use a little improvment(.261 BA) Perhaps? After Luther sucked up all the leftover cap space Rooskie was forced to transfer money from his prospect budget. He still has 5 million cap space for some players But at least he kept his HOF player. This team will be in the hunt for a wild card.PREDICTION 88-74

OUT: Adrian Davies , Jose Merced , Matt Valdes

IN: Miguel Garrido , Benny Rios

PREVIEW: What happened to the toughest division in McCabe. The N L North has fallen to the Division of Shame. Rooskie won the division with 73 games and it was a game better than the Tigers. But the celebration ended quickly as Rooskies bad news Indians were swept by San Diego in the "Play in Series".The Injuns did pick up Dick Bunch in the draft so it was a pretty decent year .The Injuns finished with below average hitting(.252 Team BA), above average pitching(4.23 Team BA), above average Fielding (92 Team Errors).  In the offseason Rooskie let Davies,Merced and Valdes head to free agency. then he signed free agent Garrido and picked up Rios in the R-5. It's no secret that the injuns need a little more offense and some fielding help will improve the pitching. The loss of Davies and Merced will hurt but the signing of Garrido may take the sting out of it. Garrido has belted 40 + homers the last 2 seasons in NY. And Rios is nice hitting pickup off the R-5, so this team has improved at the plate. Looks like good times for the Injuns. PREDICTION:87-75

LAST YEARS RECORD:72-90

LAST YEARS PREVIEW:  Patrickkm and his Tigers far exceeded my expectations by picking up solid players last season.Patrickkm made some early trades for  Freddy Downs , Randy May , Andre Lincoln and Rafael Valentin . And with some late season trades Patrick picked up Andy Wilkins , Buddy Bittle and Parker Lee .The trades almost won the division and put his team in the post season as a wild card.I feel they are ready to take the division title this season. Could do some damage in the post season. Patrickkm will be wheeling and Dealing all season long to get a Series win.PREDICTION:92-70

OUT: Gene Singleton , Harry Arias , Patrick Riley , Carson Barry , Curtis Watson , Danny Spencer , Patrick Mahoney , Frankie Coy , Marty Wulf

IN: Benji Maradona , Octavio Lopez , Dwight Davenport , Orlando Palmeiro , Philip Priest

PREVIEW: I missed this prediction along with thr rest of this division. But Patricks Tigers almost backed in to the playoffs with 72 wins. He did wheel and deal for several players last season , Bartolo Cordero , Jimmie Kennedy , Wiki Cayones to name a few. It just didn't pan out for Patrickkm. The Tigers were average in hitting (.267 Team BA ), pitching (4.44 Team ERA ), and near the bottom in Fielding( 118 Team Errors). In the offseason Patrick resigned Bartolo Cordero then he let Singleton, Arias, Riley, Barry and Watson go to free agency. He released Spencer, Watson and traded away Coy and Wulf. Now that the purge was complete, Patrick signed free agents Maradona and Lopez and picked up Davenport,Palmeiro in the R-5.Priest was brought in thru a trade with Pittsburgh. The Tigers still have a couple of open positions to fill as I write this. The signing of Priest will help the offense but the other signings aren't top line Major Leaguers. Depending on who patrick brings in for the open roster spots. Right now this team is close to average. PREDICTION: 83-79

LAST YEARS RECORD:71-91

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: I really felt it was Opistrats time to shine. And his Cubbies did come close to winning this division but finished 4 games back. It looks like They traded away some M L talent around the All-Star break and picked up some very nice prospects (Pat Brantley , D'Angelo Vazquez and Juan Tejeda). So it looks like the Cubbies finished well after the trades. This is a major league house cleaning. With such a complete overhall its hard to predict how they will gel. But I'll break out my trusty 8-Ball for the answer. "Reply Hazy,Try again". That wasn't much help. As I look at thr franchise rankings it looks like it will be a .500 or below year. And the pitching staff will be at the top in Walks allowed.PREDICTION:81-81

OUT: Wilbur Rigby , Max Oliver , Bennie Carr , Wes Sierra , Tony Soriano , Wayne Olshan ,Bernie Burnett , Hersh Day , Phillip Rushford , Pat Brantley

IN: Henry Robinson , Hank Shannon , Joel Prior , Rafael Rijo , Eliezer Delgado , Louie Cahill , Jose Fuentes , Walt Henderson , Midre Pichardo , Peter Murray , Tony Bennett

PREVIEW: I should have listened to my Magic 8-Ball. But My Balls have been telling me what to do for to long. But this isn't about me or my balls, this is about the Cubs and Opistrat. They finished 10 games below predictions but almost won the division. They were in a 3 way Mutt fight with Detroit and Cleveland but came up 2 games short. The Cubbies were below average in hitting (.262 Team BA),  below average pitching(4,87 Team ERA), and Below average Fielding(112 Team Errors). In the offseason Opistrat let Rigby,Oliver,Carr,Sierra, Soriano go to free agency and Olshan and Burnett declined option years. He released Day and Rushford then traded away Brantley. With many holes in the lineup,Opistrat claimed Robinson and Shannon off the wire and signed free agents Prior and Rijo. Then he promoted Delgado and grabbed Cahill,Fuentes,Henderson,Pichardo and Murray in the R-5. Finally he traded for Bennett. No secret here, This team is a hog pog of R-5's and waiver pickups. They will be riding out the season in a rebuild. PREDICTION: 72-90

LAST YEARS RECORD:56-106

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: It was good times for the Reds. They won the division then got past the Virginians in the first round. The party was over in the second round when the Reds lost to the Champs in 4 games. It seems the heartbreak was to much for Guerrillazen. He sold the team in the offseason to Rookie Owner Villian30. It was rumored that Guerrilla sold the team for 2 Costa Concordia Cruise tickets and a pair of Snorkels. The Reds have lowered their overall payroll by 15 million and they lost a bunch of talent. The replacements are old and on their last legs. This team will not be in the post season this year. PREDICTION:81-81

OUT: Olmedo Serra , Paulie Perez , Ellie Young , Alex Buchanan , Neil Peterson

IN: Alex Tabaka , Jim Swann , Curt Hall , Derek Higley

PREVIEW: It seems that This game was to much for Villian. He was last seen running naked down the road screaming "They're coming, REPENT, They're coming!!" Yep you guessed it.........The Republican Primaries were in Ohio and Villian couldn't take anymore Baby Kissing and Pandering. Bonefish was able to pick up this team for next ta nothing and thats about what it was worth after Villian dismantled the Reds. They finished season 14 with hitting near the bottom (.247 Team BA), Pitching that was the second worst(5.45 Team ERA), and below average fielding(113 team errors). In the offseason Bonefish let Serra,Perez,Young,Buchanan,Peterson head to the old folks home. With some roster spots open ,Bonefish signed free agents Tabaka,Swann and Hall, then he promoted Higley. Believe it or not...This is a 90+ million dollar team. They will not be in the hunt for anything other than the #2 draft pick. Not sure why Bonefish has a 14 million dollar International scouting budget with only 6 mill in the prospect kitty? But anyways, this team will look for a high draft pick next season.PREDICTION:67-95
